K-Rack Solar Racking Systems

For a strong mount you need to make sure your mounting system is penetrating the frame work of the roof and not just the sheeting.  This is done by finding the beams with a sub scanner tool.  Once the K-Rack Flashing and beam mounting bolt is in place the frame mounting bolt is protruding upward to allow bolting to the aluminum rack channels.  Of course the system will need the Flashing mounts installed in straight lines just like the shingles so that the aluminum racking beam is held along it’s length.  Each aluminum mounting beam has it’s own number of flashing mounts that are water tight and will remain that way with the life of the roof in general.  Its always a wise idea to install a solar system when a roof is fairly new or if possible install the flashing’s with a new roof.
